Would they have an imitation Glamdring by any chance?
Webtoyssg
Aug 31 2003, 01:16 PM
yes, they have Glamdring, Hadafang and Witchking swords in addition to Sting and Narsil. Also Gimli's Axe.
I am ordering all of them.
If you are interested, let me know.
We can mass order but I would have to secure a deposit from you first.
Thanks

I have one worry regarding imitation blades. Some posters on other forums claim the have very weak tangs. Every now and then, I like to give my swords a swing.....would really hate it if it left the hilt and blade in seperate pieces.
Must go check out the imitation swords in person first.

I just got an authentic brand new United Cutlery Sting for S$320. I don't think even Caesar's is selling its imitation Sting for that price.

Wah!
Did you get it from the overseas seller?
UC is supposedly relasing Sauron's Mace and Legolas's fighting knives.
Time to save up.
Just think, if the mace was made to scale, it would be the size of a small tree!
Elven Archer
Sep 2 2003, 09:15 PM
yeah. UC are releasing some exciting new products at the end of this year. Strider's Elven knife, Legolas's fighting knives, Elendil's helmet, Thoeden's sword, Elven Warrior's sword, shield and helmet and Sauron's mace and helmet. I think Sauron's mace would be about 1/3 the actual size of the prop.

Sep 2 2003, 09:17 PM
yeah I did get from an overseas seller Dr Evil. trust me, you can get UC swords S$50-70 cheaper from an overseas seller. if you're worried, you can always buy insurance which would probably cost you about S$5 more to insure the full amount.

yeah, nice stuff. saw it on the fantasy forums not long ago. unfortunately, it will be limited edition so the price will be $$$$
Elven Archer
Sep 15 2003, 11:50 PM
estimate street price for Anduril US$200-300. just like the limited shards of narsil, Anduril is a limited edition sword of 5000 pieces worldwide. it comes with a certificate of authenticity personally autographed by production artist john howe.
if you check out Caesars gallery website, you can find the prices of the new LOTR replicas.

yeah. found a workshop the does this sort of thing. seems like they're licensed by the Arms & Explosive branch. will cost me $35 to blunt the edges and the tip of my Sting. to blunt a longer blade sword will cost between $45-50. if anyone is interested, I can provide details.

Isn't there a shop at the basement of Far East Plaza that sells replica swords?
Elven Archer
Sep 20 2003, 11:01 PM
the shop at Far East Plaza is also Caesars Gallery. they have 3 branches. Suntec City, Far East Plaza and Sentosa.
the workshop to blunt swords is Everstrong Engineering Works at Kallang Bahru. a guy working at Arms and Explosive Branch called me up on Friday and told me about it.

i placed a deposit of $200 for narsil and hadhafang at caesars.
price of narsil is 396
price of hadhafang is 359
I'm thinking of selling off my deposit. Think anyone will buy? (The deposit sercures a roughly 20% discount)
The deposit is refundable by the way, so i will not let go any lower than $200.....

are these the prices for the UC replica Hadhafang and Narsil or the price of the un-named replicas?

yeah Jeff. some US collectors was talking abt that too. Sauron only appeared in the Prologue of FOTR and as far as I can recall, he doesn't carry a sword. he only had a mace. could that be a replica of Sauron in ROTK?

The sword is probably a pre production concept that got scrapped. It resembles the ringwraiths' sword except it's silver and the pommel looks like Sauron's mace.
Hopefully, Peter Jackson will take great liberties with ROTK and throw in a scene where Aragorn and Sauron go one on one......Anduril vs Sauron's sword. This way, UC will sure make the replica.

Any idea how much is Caesar's selling Aragon's Ranger sword?
Elven Archer
Sep 25 2003, 02:09 PM
S$495 for the Ranger's sword, S$420 if you're a member.
I think Sauron will make an appearance in his physical form in ROTK.
