Message to any overseas customers from AITO:

AITO marks all packages overseas as movie prop replica, or
movie replica and NO invoices are placed on the outside on
the invoice on the ones inside there is no words for "weapons"
used. This has helped a great deal on passing by customs.

can AITO be trusted? what if it's a scam?

anduril alone isnt cheap. and they are throwing the scabbard free plus free overseas shipping. too good to be true to me???

that is because the $39 offer is from MR themselves, but this anduril + scabbard offer is just from some shop.

anyway i think i heard on the news before that all packages and parcels are sent for scanning before allowing into singapore... some kind of increase security.

so they really do scan ALL things that come in here?

ok, for singpost etc... that should be more or less confirmed. but what about international couriers like dhl, fedex, ups...etc?

ann warned me that if we are dealing with uc swords and the like maek sure to keep it private and cos we are not allowed to sell without a license.

anyway, for MR Sting, I don't think it will be a problem as the blade is permanently sealed in the clear plastic cover, so prob wont be classified as sword.

interesting fact:

the runes on the anduril sword is not accurate to what it should be in the books. the film makers made a mistake and passed on the error anduril prop to uc to make. uc didnt know of course and just followed exactly what they were given.

UC is so dumb, why cant they correct it..

they didnt know that when they made it.

now the swords are all made with the mistake, they cant just change it. i can only hope that one day they will make an exchange/recall program. where we send back our andurils and they change the blade with the corrected runes and return us.

now this will be some hell of a service.

you can only blame the people from the movie. stupid s**t, cant they make an accurate sword in the first place??? cant believe they can miss this. not only this sword, i read that glamdring and sting also had some mistakes.

i still blame UC.....they should check also lar...not just copy..

but their job is produce swords what, even if they do check, they will only check things like the material used etc...

i think UC knew the mistake..but since they are licenced only to REPLICATE thier props..they had to stick with it..or get slapped silly with a law suit..

and if i onot wrong the 'A' runes are all replaced by another runes...wich makes readin it realli silly..haha

if they were licensed to replicate a prop, then why does the gauntlet have the inscriptions on it.Yes its movie accurate but not prop accurate as the inscriptions were added digitally.

Also, I doubt NL will have any problems with them correcting errors.

if that's the case they can always ask about the mistake and see if they can correct it to have a accurate sword.

i think even the ppl who passed the prop to uc doesnt know. else i dont think they would have done so. sure get a certain amount of rage from fans especially if those who feel they should get a better one with the money they paid?

and then after 'poetic' translation of this inscription it says 'Sting is my name, I am the spiders bane'

Big News-- All UC Metal Helms from now onwards will be limited to only 2000 pieces.This includes the new Gondorian Helm.

Other helms, made from resin like the Elven Helm will stay at 5000.
