they still have it? that's good for you, i thought it's sold out worldwide already. thinking eh? well, for that price, i would say exp for a broken sword, afterall you cant hold it and swing around, it's broken and it's perm mounted for the shards. though u can play with the handle part! but then again for that price for as collectable limited edition item, to a avid collector/fan of lotr, could be quite ok, if you have the means to pay for it.

you know, there are quiet a lot of ppl who buy the trilogy, all 3 forms of narsil - narsil(before) and then shards(after) and then anduril(now).
you could do the same! it's be so cool...

eh, nobody has answered my question yet regarding whether there are any problems with customs in s'pore when you ship these lotr swords here.

i guess most of us save the hassle of all this by buying from 'middlemen' like caesars, sheares etc... its reali quite troublesome...

anyway... caesar's shipment in a couple of weeks... saruman's staff is confirmed in... no staff of gandalf...

the advantage of buying from a middlemen is that you don't need to have the sword filed down. because they order in bulk, the Firearms division wouldn't have time to personally inspect all the swords so what they get this middlemen to do is take down your particulars.

so are the lotr swords from uc considered too sharp by customs here?
anyone else care to share exp when u brought in these swords here bought from ebay? example like what you went through, had to do, had to pay etc...

to the best of my knowledge, only 3 swords have sharp edges. Sting, Hadhafang and Legolas Fighting Knives. the other swords are just sharp at the tip.

what would these swords be selling for now? I heard there is a stink coming up which actually glows blue and has sound effects?

the gimmicky Sting is from Master Replicas (MR). the ones you see now at Caesars or Sheares are from United Cutlery (UC). it would be interesting to own the MR Sting as it glows and emits clashing sounds but I think the workmanship will not be able to match that of UC's.

yeah... probably... UC's is most conscious of quality...

anyway... we'll soon hv a chance to check the MR stuff out... prob come august...

how much for hadhafang?? sheares price is 360... relatively cheaper than caesars.. by a lot....

but... i doubt i will ever get it... too much for my liking... its got a real cutting edge...

eh, can get just under US$130 if lucky even btw $110-$120?, shipping is about $55. i dont know about insurance though. so that would put cost to about S$315 if you bought at $130 + $55 shipping. then again since you mentioned sheares selling at 360, not bad at all, safe the hassle of those customs problem etc... which elven archer said about. does sheares offer discount?

oh well... if the wait's not long, dont mind also lah, since so much cheaper than caesars. if only i've know sheares earlier! caesars a bit tok ppl sia. some more their redeption so so only leh.

yah lor. all those for redemption are those low quality or sample swords. so i changed pistols instead, free anyway, haha. but really disappointed that the 12th stamp supposed to change a lotr sword, turn out only they offered the scimitar and those pirated ones you said. was hoping to change hadhafang... too bad. yah and also the part where you said they changed their policy. sucked man, now must spend so much to change... i left 1 more chop. mostly always end up buying the cloth or paste to round up to 100 to get a chop when i buy the letter openers.

next item on my list is Gandalf's staff. deciding whether to get MR's or UC's version. have to see MR's version before I decide.

archer, i belive uc's more to gandalf the white as they only made them, while nc has the gandalf the grey's staff. so you could get both!
i dont know of mr's version though.

the applause rings really so limited meh? i though like can see many places selling leh. i think it was a waste of money buying toy rings, i was thinking since i couldn't possibly afford to buy all the real rings made by jewellers just buy the applause rings. then now i see like not so nice, you think can sell off the set? how much's the worth ah.

well, i also think most ppl wouldnt buy the scimitar if their bugget is contricted as it's not a beauty or as popular as the others though it's much cheaper, but hey it's smaller also mah. my personal opinion...

the Noble Collection GTG staff is too expensive. I think it retails for about US$300. I was thinking of getting GTW's staff as I already have Glamdring and it would make a nice set.

yes nc's stuff are really exp, your point makes sense. u getting the scabbard for yr glamdring too? i'm waiting for my anduril scabbard.

not sure if I want to get the scabbards. gonna display my swords on the wall so they serve no purpose. only reason I can think for getting a scabbard is if I were to go to for a LOTR cosplay.

no word on the Elven blade yet though UC has mentioned a few times that they will be making it.

as you ppl can see there's a difference btw the 2 helms. the uc's smaller version aint so close in detail which the prop. cant be helped as intricate carvings cant be done with the material uc uses to make their products. thus you can actually see differences with actual movie props and products. other examples are the handle of theoden's sword as well as boromir's blade's fuller.

a bit disappointed right, if only they can make the exact replica but it's not possible.

nope. I got my Legolas Fighting Knives from an independent importer. paid $370 for it. I'll probably get my Herugrim and GTW's staff from Sheares since they're selling them at a cheaper price.

ha, you are new, cant blame you. next time if free look through the prev posts lor. they are selling products by UC, if not all of us wouldnt have bothered to talk about it. reason is they are UC products and yet cheaper than caesars. another option is ebay.

damn... i can't wait to get my hands on my staff of saruman!!! the wait is killing me!!! its supposedly rolling in nxt wk... praying and hoping it just doesn't get pushed back again!!

the staffs are wat propelled me into collecting most of the swords in the first place...

anyway... heard some retailers in US just got their stock of GTW's staff..

I'm still waiting to see just how good Master Replicas version of GTW's staff is. the white light at the top of the staff is certainly enticing. I expect it to retail for about SG$500.
