been to far east caesars today,,, they are still taking orders for the UL anduril. Urs ordered from them huh?

UL anduril supposedly saw release several months back in US... dunno wats taking so long for them to reach singapore...

i got a reliable source that telling me that uc has somewhat can't keep with the order and their manufacturing line in china / taiwan are unable to produce any faster.

it is expected to get delayed till 4 quarter of the year, hence if someone / any shops telling you gonna arrive soon, it is a good deal that you have wait longer than that.

how much deposit did u pay for the pre-order?

deposit will depend on seller, but usually hover around 30%

boh pian liao lor bleahhh, looks like you have to wait quite some time. think of the bright side, you have more time to save on the remaining amount or you could spend on other stuff first. anyway the sword is sure to be yours as it's not a limited piece. just a matter of time dude...

i preordered my staffs last december... its been more than 6 mths and i haven't yet gotten the GTW staff...

when i first preordered, i was 'assured' by the staff tat they would be shipped into singapore 'real soon'...

will meh? the staffs are not LE, so why will you have to buy other UC product leh?

it seems they have really fallen back on all their pre-orders.... several months of wait... maybe they are shipping it by sea... save on cost.

cant really blame caesars. they are just retaillers for those UC swords n stuff so i dont think they have any control over the shipping delay. i wonder where they get their stock from. straight from UC or some other distributor like blades by brown. but i have to admit, their customer service isnt really the best, not to say that it's bad though... when i meant customer service i meant the head office side not the sales person. they are there just to help and have no say in stuff. both nelson and gavin are nice guys...

hm.... then maybe UC selective in their shipment? but then again their products aint made there what. they give priority to the states where the market is bigger lor i guess.

i had gone down to complain about certain things and nelson told me actually they have recieved many complains to the head office regarding UC's products like maybe some were missing somethings (certs etc...) or were not in good condition... if what he told me is true, then it does seem as though the products UC ships to here are those lousy one leh. see us small country dont care, just give the poor stock? lol...

Sauron's Helm would probably cost SG$1300-1500.

yeh, the production run is very low if i did not remember wrongly. this piece is hard to make so UC doesnt plan to make too many of them.

and like ea as quoted, each piece of the sauron collection would roughly cost that much. so anyone who plans to collect the whole sauron set would need to spend a fortune on them.

i just wished caesars would give more discount for members. at just 3% more than if you have: Friends of ENG WAH, Global Express Cards, TIMES, Singapore Rifle Association, NSF & MINDEF personnels, TIMES card. it just doesnt seem right. members should have more discount maybe say 20% than these associates... if not like not worth. either that or they lower the rates for those card holders.

haha... all these discounts are jus gimmicks lah...

if I really wana get Sauron's Helm, I'd get it from overseas instead of paying the sky high price of the salad shop

at only US$325, it will be so much cheaper even with shipping/insurance thrown in.
and I won't need any import licence since it's a helm

Im a keen fan of LOTR so Im really glad I was intro to this site.

I collect the Elven swords in the UC LOTR series, 12" figures and movie posters. Sticking to the Elven swords helps me narrow down my choices, saves money!

Was at Sheares, a speciality blade shop opp Shaw Towers, today and they had their UC shipment jus in. Anduril was in but what really was eye popping was Herugrim! Damn Swee!!!

Hi guys, got a question to ask bout swords. izzit alrite if i put the swords unintact in the wooden boxes for around a year? because it might be a while longer before recieiving my new flat.

will it become rusty or do i have to polish them once a while?

You could try a trick that divers use when they dive.
Get some silicone grease and slap the damn thing on the blade.
Silicone meets blade.
No air.
No moisture.
No problem!

do i have to polish the sword 1st before putting the silicon grease? will it be very oily to put in the box? how much and where to get the silicon grease? does casears or sheares sell it?
