[QUOTE] Eh, if the blade is in good condition, wipe it as clean as possible then slap on the grease. Not much experience with corroded blades... Then again, I jus do wat I usually do when my knives need re-conditioning, send it back to Sheares! They will service it up than you can pick it up when they have it ready. And its free! BUT, their policy is that this is only available for blades purchased from them. Im starting to sound like a bloody salesman.... but I get my grease from Sheares! Jus ask them for it and chances are one of them will start joking that you can use it as jam. Which is true cos it says on the bloody can 'food grade'... Silicon grease does not evaporate or dry over time. Its thick and slick (pardon the rhyme) and should not give you too much trouble if you stick the coated blade in the plastic sleeve. No idea if the Salad bar sells grease.... they might have salad dressing... |

| Had a very bad experience with a shop (not going to name) selling swords I went into the shop and a staff approached me. The coversation as follows. Me: "i wish to enquire about the maintaince for my lotr swords." Staff: "did u buy the swords from us?" Me(frankly): "actually i bought the sword from someone else and i am not sure if he bought it from ur shop." Staff: "If u never buy the sword from us, then i cannot help u!" I was shock at his reply as i expected a better service from wat u guys commented earlier. Thinking that i better buy the silicon grease and polish, i asked him. Me: "Wat do u recommand for me to use to polish my swords?" Staff: "Juz used a dry cloth." i did not expect such an answer as any tom, d**k or harry also know have to use a dry cloth but i wanted to know wat polish to use with the dry cloth! The next thing really made me angry.... The staff walked pass me after his "dry cloth" answer. He then opened, hold onto the main door and started staring at me. It only meant one thing he was chasing me out from his shop. In anger, i went out the shop thru the door and the staff juz walked behind me and started smoking outside. He then commented if i wanna buy swords then come back another time. It really spolit my day, thinking that i would be able to start polishing my swords today. I am not complaining about the shop but juz felt that the staff could help me better. In the end, this incident made up my mind not to patronize the shop for any other swords at all! |

i would not revealed the name of the shop as i think that its not at fault... its juz that after hearing all ur reviews about how good the service, i was pretty shock to recieve such treatment from the staff. It makes me feel as if i was a unwanted customer. in the end had to buy my polish from caesers. |

| nah, it wouldn't take more than 5-6 months. at the very most 2 months. if it takes 5-6 months to be delivered to you, I'll refund you the cost of the item and give it to you free-of-charge. that's how confident I am that it won't take that long. sorry bleahhh but the scabbard comes as a set with UL Anduril. received your PM Wander_fool and sent you a reply. I did some research and there seems to be a stumbling block. if I were to import and deal with swords, I would have to apply for a license. the application would probably take a few weeks to process but I would also have to pay $1100 for a 2-year license. still trying to gauge if the demand for UC products here is good. maybe you guys can do me a favour. if you know of friends who collect UC products like the replica swords, staff or helm, ask them if they would be interested if they can get it $30-50 cheaper or maybe even more than the retail price. just want to add I can get the UC Sword of Strider Scabbard for SG$300. |
