yes and I especially like the Isildur statue, with the orcs' arrows on his back.
the sculptor has captured very well the moment just before the ring slipped from Isildur's finger and sinking onto the riverbed.
but I don't quite like the Bilbo one, as the sculptor has captured the pose he was in while wearing the ring at his 111st birthday, this pose is too close to the non-ring-wearing Bilbo on Barrel statue....

Like we've discussed before, we should get Alvin to do this additional value-added work to our SSW collections.

Yeah, touch-up our statues and busts like the WK bust shown above!

welcome obrother to sgc tolkien forum and of course the ssw club! would love to hear more from you.
so where were you btw 15 sep till now? |
Thanks your guys here.
The reason why I just talked since Sep because I took time into ST web site and just found here this month
About Balrog on the bottom of MM, I am not sure about it and heared from web. But one thing you should notice is that bottom of MM is filled by red fire and it looks like "Balrog is here":)
I will try to take more pic for this env which maybe is most firm package by sideshow, they filled some foam into the middle and wrapped the whole with multiple plastic film, then put it into regular box. So hard to open it.

Speaking of the SSW Isildur statue, I'm glad we're one of the few who got our hands on it.
ES only 500 worldwide.

Love the sculpting by Greg Tozer. The statue really "shines"!

Not humble, Chimes. I know my own limits and abilities. That guy who did the airbrushing is really an 'old-hand', and one can tell by how he visualises the 'ghostly' effect and airbrushes it. If I had like 10 of the same busts, I might just try it. Airbrushing requires constant practice to hone in the skills.
Just got a frodo statue, and I must say I love the eyeballs that are glistening, unlike the later offerings...earlier pieces were really well done!
Oh, and I really want a Bilbo statue with his ring on...

Not many people are interested in a statue with a dying pose. I bet the Haradrim statue would be a bit more higher if it was an action pose.

Haradrim is unique in it's dying pose. If every statue is always in their heroic pose, that's boring...
That's why SSW came up with Haradrim Soldier, the DYING POSE...
If you look at the Haradrim Soldier at different angles, he's indeed very unique...
Check out these pics taken from my very own Haradirm Soldier.

This new Simply Toys @ Raffles Mrt, is at twice the size of the current place. Furthermore, it's very much spacious. More space for us to check our LOTR statues...
Anyway, it's opening for business next Monday.
