I have start on some Miniatures. god,. the eyes can pop out if do too long

I think I will go for the WOTC D&D miniatures. Fully painted and quite nice.

I do! I used to play Warhammer, its a miniature board game....its quite cool but painting has always been a big issue cause it takes a long time paint a mini well, like the eyes and the numerous tones you do for muscles and robes......I have stopped painting for about a year now....Have too much inertia to start again

I painted 2 minis, one still incomplete (need flat red, but no cash... )

But I think they look decent as of now, till I get motivation to complete the thing...

How do you guys and gals do the finishing touch to lock the paint and colors down?

Yes I still paint! I do Warhammer, Warhammer40K, Historical Wargamming, Car modelling, and everything that enables customization (including painting....just recently into Pinky Street)

For you painters out there who feels a bit tired on modelling (esp painting) just try to contribute one color every day. Yes just one color. You shouldn't get too tired with individual models but in cases of armies these method built them quickly(of course paint them in 'contingents'). I raised an Imperial Guard batallion in less then a month before. And practice....it got me 6 years to get the tricks that so my model look decent enough.

Uh Caramon ? What do you mean by 'lock the colors' down ? if you mean you dont want to paint the model again and wishes to preserve the colors you can do so by using a type of fixer called 'varnish' It has three types; matte ones, semi gloss and gloss, depending how you want the model to look. For warrior miniatures, use matte or not at all coz at times these varnish made the color look not the way they intended. For car models, semi and gloss are the stuff.

That are pretty nicely painted figs you got over there! What type of paints do you use? For me, I uses the Vallejo paints, they give a consistent texture and thickness. Where do you paint? Home only? At PI or CM?

Guys from PI? Azhar? Jun Xiang? Chi Yong? There's also ome pretty good guys over at Serene CM.
