Some questions before i spoil my uruk hai figures trying to pose them

battlecry uruk hai : Can the 2 arms be met in the middle of the body so that he can hold his pike parallel to the body?

xbow uruk hai : Is his armour suppose to be so shiny ?

CU uruk hai : the shield that he holds is not movie accurate right? Where can i get the accurate one
MorgulLord
FOR PIKEMAN...NOT SURE ABT THAT..BUT IF U lean ur figure against his pike...the pike will eventually be deformed. the pikes r made of jelly.

xbow is just a LITTLE glossy black not shiny.

for cu, i dont know how accurate u want. but its accurate enough for me. u mean the gimli 2 pack uruk or the cu uruk? these 2 quite similar

It's some kind of red triangular marking.
If i am no wrong, the uruk hais at amon hen had shields with the hand print.
Cirith Ungul... Different prints?

I remember very long time ago there was a shop in Far East Plaza that help ppl customise their Uruk Hai for a price, I think it was TFH or some other shops. I am still quite curious how the end product looks like, anyone got photos to share?
MorgulLord
i got it now. CU uruk works for mordor...therefore that eye sign. not a red triangle. its the eye.

the white hand is uruks that work for saruman. solved

how good can their custom works be? they must be charging a lot. not worth it.
Elven Archer
not from TFH right? it was from RB aka RebelBase.

Ya, I think u are right! I saw that advertisement but never saw their finished work. Now as I recall, they were charging ppl quite high but not sure abt their quality. Just want to see if anyone here had engaged their service during that time unsure.gif

Ok one more question : How do i make my BC Uruk's pike less limp? I want it standing straight biggrin.gif

you can PM Brutalizer. I think he had them custom 1 or 2 of his Uruks.

e3lipse, to make your pike stiff, you need to stroke it a few times. laugh.gif

so you mean ur price of 30 bucks for customisin a kotd is mre worth it? n better?? b humble a bit leh!
MorgulLord
how do u know how much i think when i mean a lot? the way u put it, u dont sound like u dont mean to sound offending. or is it just me? or do i just smell a flame war. whatever it is, u sound kinda rude.
LeFleur
no, no flame war..offending? well, if u take it d hard way.. wink.gif juz dat i smell arrogance in ur post datz al...
MorgulLord
sorry just to make my stand and not to argue or start flaming just because u sound kinda rude. if u think $30 is kinda expensive. hows how i calculate.

I dont know if u customise yourself a not. For ppl who dont custom, 30 is not ex. here goes.

I use gamesworkshop paints which r very good paints. Try asking the pros too. Each bottle cost 6 bucks. For KOTD. 6-7 colours are used. that will be $36. I wont be counting the brushes in cause its little a lame. workmanship maybe worth $20 for painting n a little mod to the figure. For non customisers, few will know that its quite tedious to paint a figure properly. its not just painting the whole piece one shade of red thats it. its more than that n the techniques. all these takes time. after everything is done, i use a paint sealer spray(cost $30) to protect the paints from future peels.

if u consider all these factors ...30 bucks is consider ok price to me. and trust me, the shop charge much much more. I am done with explaining. by the way...my thread already close shop.

of course i would be glad if all this is just a misunderstanding. iwouldnt wana argue over collections n stuffs or customising in here. i just feel silly ...like someone here. and...i am not arrogant. if u r offended by the "not worth it". sorry if i didnt stand in the view on non customisers. cause for ppl who does customs...50 bucks n above(which i believe the shop charge a minimum of it) and easily get us like at least 2 loose figures to play n custom with.
