The first set was OK, but the 2nd set is really the WORST anime VCD I've encountered.
- The set claims to have Chinese and Japanese audio, with English subs. But the pre-opening and post ending animation only plays in Chinese with no subs.
- The Engrish Subs is teh Brokenz all overz
- Whoever was the moron who did the subbing, he replaced all the Japanese names with the Hanyu pinyin version in Chinese. Eg, Hikaru => Kuang. WTH. It's not only stupid, it's totally inconsistent with the 1st box set.
- When characters chatter fast, all the subs disappear!!
- The disc pauses and jumps whenever there is a break in the chapters.
- In the middle of the animation, the visual quality of the image changes! eg, from sharp to blurry, from normal to high contrast colours. Subtitles also pop in and out at random.
- The subtitle text is so small you need a 40" TV to read them.
I've never supported Odex, but I thought I'd just try their stuff since it was $1. Now I think I overpaid.
No wonder no one wanted to buy their stuff. It's hardly on par with even the worst fansubs.
